Nike SB is certainly no stranger to extremely rare and nearly unobtainable sneakers — most of which are Dunks, from the first joint collaboration with Supreme to the riot-causing partnership with Staple. However, the sub-brand's brief collaboration with eBay is much more legendary, as two of the purported three pairs produced were sawn into four separate pieces. Fast forward nearly two decades and now we're seeing the pieces come together again...literally. Following several teasers over the last year, official images of the eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low have finally surfaced. And instead of recreating the original 1:1 color scheme, the two chose to mimic what it would look like if the aforementioned fragments were glued together. What follows is a unique and more personal touch that forgoes aesthetics in favor of narrative, and simultaneously celebrates the life of the late Sandy Bodecker. While the market's signature colors - red, blue, yellow and green - are present in the patent leather construction, they are somewhat overshadowed by the transparent TPU pieces and icy midsole that run vertically through three different sections of the shoe.
